The fastest path uses the generator above and tools already built into Shopify.
- 01
Build your chart in the generator above
Type your sizes and measurements, or paste a selection straight from Excel or Google Sheets. Switch between cm and inches, add international size columns (US, UK, EU), and style the colors, borders and fonts to match your brand.
- 02
Export it — HTML for SEO, or a PNG image
Choose Copy HTML to get a clean, indexable table that search engines can read, or Download PNG for a styled image. For SEO, the HTML table is the better choice because the text inside it gets crawled and indexed with your product page.
- 03
Open the product in your Shopify admin
In Shopify, go to Products, select the product you want to add the chart to, and scroll to the Description field. To paste raw HTML, click the <> Edit code button on the description toolbar; to add the image instead, use Insert image.
- 04
Paste, save, and preview
Paste your copied HTML or insert your PNG, then click Save. Open the product page on your storefront to check it looks right on mobile and desktop. Repeat for other products, or reuse the same chart across a collection.
Good to know: a table pasted into the product description renders inside your product page’s HTML, so the sizes and measurements are crawlable. An image-only chart looks great, but has no readable text for search engines.
More no-code ways to show a size chart.
Use these built-in Shopify methods when the chart needs to appear automatically, live on its own page, or stay tucked behind a pop-up link.

Why a size chart is worth the five minutes.
The chart is small. The sizing confidence it creates is not.
Fewer returns
Wrong size is the number-one reason fashion orders come back. Clear measurements help shoppers buy the right size the first time.
Higher conversion
Confident shoppers check out. A visible, easy-to-read chart removes the hesitation that leads to abandoned carts.
Better SEO
Text-based charts add relevant, crawlable detail to your product and guide pages — content that can surface in search.
Fewer support tickets
“Will this fit me?” emails drop when the answer is right there on the page in numbers your customers can trust.
Size chart generator FAQ
Is this size chart generator really free?
Yes. The generator is completely free to use with no sign-up and no watermark. Build your chart, then download it as a PNG image or copy the HTML — there's no cost and nothing to install.
How do I add a size chart to a Shopify product for free?
Build your chart in the generator, click Copy HTML (or Download PNG), then in your Shopify admin open Products, choose a product, and scroll to the Description. Use the <> Edit code button to paste the HTML, or Insert image to add the PNG, then Save. No paid app is required.
Can I show the size chart on every product automatically?
Yes, using metafields on an Online Store 2.0 theme (like Dawn). Create a size-chart metafield under Settings › Custom data › Products, then in Online Store › Themes › Customize add a block to the product area and bind it with Insert dynamic source. This shows the chart on product pages without copy-pasting into each one.
Should I use an HTML table or an image for SEO?
Use an HTML table when SEO matters. Text inside a table is crawlable and gets indexed with your product page, while an image has no readable text for search engines. An image looks polished, so a good middle ground is a text table on product pages and images where styling is the priority.
Can I switch between centimeters and inches?
Yes. The generator lets you switch the whole chart between cm and inches, or show both units at once — either as paired columns in one table or as two stacked tables. International size columns like US, UK and EU stay as-is and aren't converted.
Can I paste my sizes from Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. Copy a selection of cells in Excel or Google Sheets and paste it straight into the generator — rows and columns fill in automatically. You can then edit any cell, add rows or columns, and restyle the table.
How can shoppers get a personalized size recommendation?
A static chart still leaves shoppers guessing. The SmartSize Shopify app adds an interactive fit quiz and AI-powered Find My Size recommendations, so each customer gets a personal size suggestion that helps reduce wrong-size returns.
